I have been seeing this family for years. I have watched them go from a family of three to a family of four. They moved to Wisconsin and still make a trip back every year to see little old me! Always an honor and I just adore these boys!!!!

I always love seeing this family! They are always so easy to work with. It was a pleasure to meet Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Matt this time around.
We ended up with an absolutely gorgeous night at the end of September. And I’m going to say it again, I LOVE SEPTEMBER SUNSETS!!!
We lost the sun and I just kept on shooting. I could not get over the gorgeous we had.

Sometimes I just know a session is going to be amazing after the first click of the camera. This was definitely one of those sessions! I met this gorgeous family just last year when Mom was pregnant with baby #3 and I’m so glad I have been able to see them a couple of times since.
They are always easy going and fun to work with!

I met this little man about 24 hours after he was born and then had the privilege of photographing him a week after that in the studio. I was able to capture all his milestones throughout the year and cannot believe he is now O-N-E!!!!

So all day we were back and forth about this session. It was really windy and raining on and off. I wasn’t holding out too much hope that the session was going to workout. Thank goodness this family was very flexible and we were able to make the call last minute. The skies just kept getting better!!!!

This was such a sweet family to photograph. They made it so easy. Snuggles, hugs and kisses came so easily. We may have been eaten alive but it was such a gorgeous night! These kids were full of giggles and fun.

I LOVE this family!!!! These girls all have 4 VERY different personalities and I love every single one of them. All amazing, talented and beautiful!
Sometimes during sessions I see orbs. People may say these are just sun flares but I don’t agree. Sun flares show a specific way. I see the orbs sometimes and they appear in places where flares don’t usually appear. There were WAY more images than what is on this post but this session had the most orbs I have ever seen. It may have had more than I have ever seen combine. This family sure has some guardian angels looking over them.

Family session after a day without naps. {Crystal Lake Family Photographer}

This session was originally going to be in a wooden area of the park because we were shooting quite a bit before sunset. However, we got really luck and had a cloudy day which allowed us to be out among the wild flowers. My favorite place! These kiddos got out of the car and Mom tells me that they are running on no naps and we probably don’t have long. Challenge accepted!
We got through this session with nearly 100 images in under 30 minutes. The kids were great!!! Everyone was relaxed and had fun which led to some real smiles. The kids were playful and liked each other. LOL!
Maybe we need to avoid naps for future sessions?
